I expect the module\u00a0will have a diverse\u00a0audience of traditional and non-traditional students ranging from freshman to senior levels. This particular unit will teach\u00a0about\u00a0various web-based\u00a0technologies on the the Internet\u00a0and how they can help students in their learning process. I plan to complete the entire module during the &#8220;Pedagogy&#8221; course.<\/p>\n<p>Here \u00a0is a path I have arrived through to the Big Idea for the unit:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Familiar with:<\/strong> The Internet contains an infinite amount of information and it\u00a0is expanding exponentially.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important to know:<\/strong>\u00a0Which technologies and\u00a0web-based tools and applications allow to\u00a0manage and collect information, share it with others, and make connections of\u00a0people with similar interests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Big Idea:<\/strong>\u00a0The Internet is a learning environment.<br \/>\n<strong>Enduring Understandings:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Web-based technologies\u00a0provide access to\u00a0educational opportunities for anyone\u00a0from any place where you have internet access.<\/li>\n<li>We can learn through the experiences of others shared by the way of\u00a0web-based services as well as\u00a0access educational resources from the universities around the world.<\/li>\n<li>Personally-managed and well-structured digital space allows to\u00a0successfully\u00a0organize collected information, collaborate with others, and share your\u00a0knowledge and experiences back to the community providing\u00a0educational opportunities for others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My project for this class will consist of a unit for a \u00a0&#8220;Student Introduction\u00a0to Learning with Technology&#8221; asynchronous self-paced online module.\u00a0I plan on making it\u00a0an open educational resource.
