I. How to Activate WordPress Blog Student Account
1. You will receive an email in your institutional email account from College of eLearning and Extended Ed. (subject line: [College of eLearning and Extended Education Sites] Activate student) with an invitation to join and a link to activate your account.
2. Click on the link at the bottom of the email that says, “Please click the following link to activate your user account:”

3. Clicking on the link will take you to the WordPress Blog site for your class with confirmation that your account is active. The screen will display your user name and password. Copy both to a safe place in order to login to the blog for the first time. You will be able to (and SHOULD!) change your password after you login.

4. Once you click the Log In link you will be prompted to enter your user name and password. You can also login by going directly to blog’s url at any time.

5. Once you log in you will be taken directly to the blog’s Dashboard from which you can update your profile, change your password and create posts for your assignments. To change your password go to Dashboard -> Profile -> New Password at the bottom of the page. From that same page you can also change your nickname (name displayed publicly when you make a post) and enter a few words you want your fellow classmates to know about yourself under Biographical Info. Do not forget to click “Update Profile” button at the very bottom of the page for your changes to take place.

II. How Upload Video to YouTube
1. Login to your YouTube account. Click on “Upload” button at the top:

2. An Upload dialog window will open.

3. Navigate to your video through newly opened dialog and click “Open.”
4. In the next window while your video is being uploaded you can add title and description to it:

5. After your video finishes upload and processing click on the link provided to preview it:

6. Change permission for your video:

III. How to share your video on WordPress blog:
1. Login to your WordPress blog and create a new post from the Dashboard.

2. To embed your video into a post for sharing it with your group simply copy the URL of the video in your browser’s bar:

3. Then paste it into a body of your new post. Do not forget to select a proper category for your post, so that it is displayed with the right group and assignment:
