Star is sick again… Poor baby… But I am so tired of the illnesses, and a lot of meds do not help πŸ™ I don’t know how to keep it at bay. At this point, I have spent close to 10K on her already. That’s most of my savings… I hate to complain, especially about something I cannot control. It’s her allergies. What I do have the right to complain about is the useless $500 in two months’ worth of allergy serum that did not do shit. I am doing two more months and then quitting. And my allergy specialist just raised her appointment fee to $400 a visit. Needless to say, I am not going there anymore. Especially that it is literally a 15-minute appointment and then they send us home with hundreds $ worth of medication. Anyhow, that’s the door that closed.

On a different note, the shared office is mostly set up. It’s not welcoming, and there is a lot of crap that needs to go to the trash, so I hate it there. Besides, there is really no need for me to be in the office, like at all. I tried to give the office my touch and make it cozy, but because of the trash, I cannot stand being there. Oh well, it is only a couple of hours on Tuesday and Thursday. Just to show my face to appease my boss. And coffee in the cafeteria became shit. I mean, you can hardly taste it; it is so bad.

On reading: China M’s “The Iron Council.” I got to about three-fourths of the book, and now it is all political stuff. I found myself having a hard time getting into that part of the book, so it has been on hold for a few days. I have a hard time with political books for some reason. Of course, I will finish it as I am obsessive, and it drives me insane when I don’t finish a book. But I love the writer who is amazing and can navigate between different genres with ease. His “The City in the City” was written as noir. “October” was a history non-fiction. “Reports of London” was a fantasy. “Un Lun Dun” and “The Worst Breakfast” were children’s books. And then of course, the comic books. And all seem to be written effortlessly and are very good. I don’t think there is a compatible author to him in existence. I personally think that his “Embassy Town,” “King Rat,” and “The Scar” are the best. In my opinion, anyway.

That’s it for today.
