Today’s task was “to single out your toe.”
So, I had a variety of options. 5 to be exact. The instructions were:
1. Paint the said tow with an expensive varnish — $8.00 at Fred’s. that’s as expensive as I could get.
2. Surround it with clingfilm so it does not wrinkle during the bath — Bath taken, tow wrapped.
3. Have it massaged by a toe fetishist — well, don’t have one of those so it is my hands instead.
4. Buy shoes that are comfortable and accommodate the toe’s rest — in luck there as I needed walking shoes as mine was worn out. I WENT TO Khols and searched for a bargain. Lo and behold Nike (the native to Portland) had one to fit the parameters. $50 later my toe was happy.
5. kiss it goodnight and tell it a fairy tale — plan to do it tonight. Have to wash my feet first and deodorize it with lotion. Instead of a fairy tale, I will read aloud “East of Eden.” Works for me and I hope it will work for the toe.
Now I have to reveal the toe. It is a pinky on my left foot as it was broken ones after slamming into my bed’s post. I feel sorry for it as it is now disfigured. At the time I took great care of it. The other toes were just fine and were not jealous. I also painted a smiley face on it to recount the great experiences it had. I think my toe was happy with that. In some way, I wish I went to a pedicure place but I am sure they would have been surprised at me asking to give the love to just one toe… That concludes my task for today. See you tomorrow.
