Have not written for a while. Just got lazy…
I recently found that Opee has fleas which made me believe that my house has fleas as well. I’ve been freaking out. Treated Opee and he is now flea-free (or I hope) and moved on to the house. Flea bombed it first to kill adult fleas then sprayed it with Wondercide to kill larvae and eggs. The Wondercide was the most horrible experience ever and I am still dealing with the aftermath. It is supposed to be all-natural based on essential oils and safe for pets. In fact, it claimed that rubbing it on pets eliminates fleas is wonderful. However, once I sprayed it the disaster ensued… The smell was horrible and so concentrated that it created fumes I was tasting it on my lips and the tip of my tongue went numb. Additionally, the top layer of the skin of the entire fingers and between the thumb and index finger peeled off. It has been three days already and the smellness is still going strong and my lips are still tingly although it is less than fumes. You could literally smell this shit when you approached the door to my home outside. All windows have been open for three days and still are in spite of 58F outside. If it was not for my frequent hot flashes I would be freezing my ass off. There is no way in hell I would put this nastiness on my dog ever! I even wrote to the company sharing my experience. And of course, they responded with an idea that was ridiculous. In any case, it is now done and I will never ever use that product ever again. If you consider using it be careful.
Other than battling with fleas life is OK. Although I am ditching my sister’s calls. She simply wants to talk for hours and is super negative about everything in her life without wanting to do anything about it. I am tired of giving her advice because of that. It is like speaking to a wall. Frustrating. And on the bad side is that I am not attached to her in any way. I grew up in separation from her for 35 years. How am I expected to bond now? Also, there is upcoming weather of 80F. It is hard to believe that at the end of September we are still having high temperatures. But today it rained. It was much needed as we did not have rain the entire Summer. However, some leaves are trying to turn red and yellow which brings me pleasure as it is the most beautiful part of the Fall here. I am tired of seeing green.
Went on a hike recently with Opee and my stubborn puppy just stopped after 1 mile and wanted to turn back. I have no idea why and it was a battle of the wills to get to the end of the trail. I am afraid that from now on I have to fly solo on hikes. It is a weird development on Opee’s side as he used to love hiking with me. Well, it is what it is.
Over.
