city light

Today’s task was to “found an entirely new city.” Every city starts with a single brick. According to instructions, I was supposed to find a brick and then a field to lay it in (preferably by a river as it will make your city a trading port in the future). Finding a brick was easy as my condo came with two on my porch as a mini table where I put an ashtray and a candle for smoking when my friend visited). So, I thought maybe 1 brick would be enough for that function. Besides, I don’t smoke anymore (only with friends at a party) so I did not need space for an ashtray, only for a candle. Brick-check. Now to a field. That was easy as there are a number of fields I discovered for Opee to hunt mice. One was by a creek which I thought I would expand into a river once the city was built. So, I hauled the brick with me while walking Opee (he was a crucial part of the building of course). The brick was quite heavy but I persevered. So, I figured I’ll put it in the center for starters. Opee immediately peed on it so it was christened. Field-check. Now to the name. Since Opee was part of christening the city I decided to name it after him. Besides, it is in a way his field. And just like that Opeetown was born. Once I expand it you are welcome to visit!
