Today’s task was “Homeless Day.” I was supposed to sit in a preferable corner with a sign of what I am begging for. Seeing how it is still a weekend I was able to do it without feeling guilty for begging while doing my well-paying job. Here are my choices:
1. Used to be a taecher (I assume it is a misspelled teacher? Very funny and I doubt anyone would fall for that. If anything, it will turn people away).
2. Hungry. I actually don’t need food but it could have been an experience. I once bought food for one of the homeless begging while playing violin and having his son stand with him. How could I not??? So, it might work for donations. Also, it could be I need an umbrella (which I also gave to a beggar who was sitting under the rain uncovered).
3. Saving for sex change. Doubt that anyone will donate unless I sit in front of Trader Joe’s where there are a lot of people who believe they are liberal and warming and would actually pay attention to it. But it is just one corner in front of one store. Not good for wider audions.
4. Heaven $1. That is the one I settled on. I sat on the cross paths from the huge mall. I hoped that people will keep their $1 bills but did not count on everyone using plastic to check out from the store. I thought that $1 to get into heaven was a good deal. I sat there for 2 hours as I had to walk Opee after that. I should have brought him with me to elicit more sympathy. But good thought always comes afterward.
failed in my attempt completely and only got home with 25C. That added to my stash of quarters (amounting to $10) which I can give to real homeless people.
