Today’s task was to indulge yourself. Following Oscar Wilde’s quote: “Anyone who lives within their means suffers from the lack of imagination” I proceeded to the list of items I was supposed to indulge myself with. Here is the list:
1. Caviar: Tsar Imperial beluga = $1,500 a lb. Nope. Could not find it on Amazon anyway. Could have had it at the Russian Tea restaurant in Chicago. There was one for $300. But I was broke for the trip after getting straight fights between because I did not want to seat in Seatle for 5 hours.
2. Foie Gras: Entier de Perigord = $142 per 20 oz. Plus, I really don’t like it. So, there.
3. Wine: Chateau Mouton-Roth Child = $8,450 a bottle. Nope. Need to replace the carpet with a laminate that costs about the same. Rather have that.
4. Coffee: Jamaica Blue Mountain = $50 per 1lb bag. I have heard that these are just droppings from monkeys. Nope. Don’t need to inject anyone’s feces.
So, due to no way to the list I set to exploring Amazon since they deliver and came across canned soft cheese. 30 oz pack of one was $62.22. It was from Washington University (really, are you that hurt by tuition fall?) I could not buy any of their other measurements so I had to buy that. I will report if this is just a Velveeta in a can with the “Natural Cougar Gold Cheese” name (did they actually milk a cougar for this?). At my age, I can totally be a cougar so I deemed it appropriate. So I guess I need to buy some crackers to put it on.
