Today’s task was to “compose a poem and leave it in a public place to brighten someone’s day.” So, I usually don’t write poems… At least not since I took a creative writing class while doing my BA in English Lit ions ago. Time to exercise my brain. First I thought I would write a poem about Russia but decided against it as it definitely won’t brighten anyone’s day. Then I wanted to write a poem about Opee but I wrote so many posts about him that I just had to take a break. I settled on the weather. After all, everyone is interested in the weather. Besides, maybe I can also give advice to people as to what to do in certain weather. Here is what I came up with based on a forecast by a Google lady:
“The snow is coming
and warm clothes too.
If you buy a blanket
You would also be warm
and watch snowflakes
from inside your home.”
Wrote it out and pinned it to the trees I came across on my walk with Opee. I hope people find this premonition seriously and walk in down coats and hats (scarfs are optional.)
