I slipped after Aida ditched me and got back to 2.5 bottles… Now I am tapering again. I am at 1.3 currently. and I am making progress again. This time I will take it slow and make sure I stick to the plan. I know I can do it.
The highlight of today was going to the Pharmacy to get my meds. They totally screwed up one of them which I normally order through mail. So I had to go to the physical one and explain their mistake. I had to re-order it and it took an hour of waiting for the meds. Meanwhile, the baby furry love was sitting in my car patiently waiting. I was not worried as he loves the car. Nevertheless…
Another predicament was that it was raining. Not hard, just a drizzle but enough to get you wet on an hour-long urban hike. Of course, my furry refused to go outside and walk around our condo complex. He had to jump in the car and be taken somewhere where he had no choice but to walk. Surprisingly though after we got home he immediately went to the door and wanted to go on a ride again. Little shit. I had to walk him out of the door and he would pull me towards the car and I would have to turn around and bring him back. It took three tries before he figured out he had no choice but to walk around the neighborhood. My devious baby. That is in addition I have to open the car door twice for him to jump in. OCD? He is indeed very particular about how he does things.
With the rain, the lower temperatures moved in. It is finally hat weather and the heater in the house is on. I love it and I wish if temps are going down there will be some snow this winter. I am thinking maybe going to Alaska for Thanksgiving and seeing some snow there. Maybe my friend will have skis and we can slide a little on the trail she has by her house. But if not I would be more than happy to just stay outside for a while to get my fill of the real winter.
After I visited them this Summer the urge to move back to Alaska is strong. I don’t know what to do with it as I just bought my condo and it will entirely depend on whether I find a job first. I guess I better start looking. Another concern would be healthcare. But I got all my meds dialed now and I can simply tell a doctor what I need. I am sure it will work except for my $15,000 biologic shot for my psoriasis. I would have to pay the full deductible for the first shot and it will be over $5,000. So no way in hell I can afford it so I would have to re-learn how to live with it. But the urge is strong especially since two of my friends are moving back as well.
I miss living in a cabin with no water and an outhouse. It makes you go to basics and you know exactly where your priorities are — to survive and experience peace sitting by a fire stove and drinking tea and be cozy in the 40-below weather and observing ravens sitting on the power lines ready to plunge for your garbage that you have to pile outside before you take it to transfer station. And of course the hooting of an owl and the song of husky teams. And beautiful howfrost covering everything. So pure. Maybe I romanticize it. I don’t know. But it is calling.
That’s about it for today.
