Back to tasks people! Today’s task was to confess to a priest. So, the problem is that you have to find a Catholic church first. So, thanks to google maps I found one called “Holly Trinity” (of course!) three miles away from me. But then you wait for the priest to come out. They check incrementally for the people in the church. It took me 30 minutes to wait. It was weird as you have to get into this box with a partition to the priest’s box. It is made of wicker and he totally can see who you are (hello privacy?). Then I had to think of things I wanted to confess… Hm… Not many. I live a solitary life for the most part so what is there to confess? I ate too much pizza was the first one. Then came I don’t like small talk which I don’t like and sometimes can be an asshole (I just have to call people on their bullshit), then came that I sometimes pull my dog from the food he finds on the streets (you would be surprised how much food people throw on the streets and most common are the chicken bones. You would think that the entire Hillsboro just driving around eating chicken legs and then through the bones out of the car window). Then I confessed about the road rage, especially against Subarus and people who do not use their turn signal (Subarus). Then I ran out of things to confess. But lo and behold I got absolutions without chanting the Hail Marries. He just let me off the hook as it is and blessed me of course (did his chanting in Latin). I was a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to doing the Hail Maries and whatnot. That would have been fun.
