Hi!
My name is Tatiana Piatanova and I will be your instructor for CITS 220 – Implementing Internet Tools and Technologies course at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In addition to being a teacher, I am also an Instructional Designer at Pacific University Oregon.
After living in Alaska for over 20 years I have moved to Oregon for new adventures and experiences. So far I like it, as Oregon has just as many beautiful wilderness places as Alaska and only 3 hours of flying away.
I love Web 2.0 because it is how I connect with other people, collect information, reflect and share my experiences (digital and everyday life) with others. I believe in curiosity and hope that this course will inspire you to further investigate how the Information Super Highway works (especially the social connectivity aspect of it). I also hope that after you complete this course you will continue using at least some of the Web 2.0 applications and services that we have learned about.
